Thanksgiving Placecards

So I know that especially with family, there are a ton of people over and they are not even sure where to sit! This year, we had made cute little pieces of art work for our placecards. These were all made by my 5 year old nephew who loves art projects with me.

This is suppose to be a big adult turkey and a small baby turkey...they were suppose to be really cute together in different positions with like mommy/daddy with child...but he got too lazy to do so. This allowed everyone a place to sit at our table where there was no fighting!

Christmas Party

So I want to do a GREAT Christmas Party at my house for about 15 guests. One little problem, would you really want to spend that much money on presents for each person? Would you want to do a Secret Santa with most of your guests not knowing each other? No. So I decided as a present for everyone instead that we make it a Potluck: Everyone brings a plate of food, a bottle of booze and a mixer (Sodas, Juices, etc) so we can drink and dine! Aside from that, I have a few game systems that 4 people at a time can play with. I also have Christmas songs on a youtube playlist and I am also compiling a list of Christmas movies we can watch or at least leave on a laptop to continue playing in case some guests are bored.

Party Favors - I am currently aiming for a really cute Christmas Ornament - Star Ornament or Present Ornament for each guest. You can pick anything you wants you can find at a store. I bought it at a wholesale store - 8 for $2.50. I will also be getting some candy canes when the time comes near to attach it to each Christmas Card I am giving each person along with a Ferrara Rocce chocolate.

Christmas Songs
1. We wish you a Merry Christmas
2. Deck the Halls
3. Twelve Days of Christmas
4. Frosty the Snowman
5. Jingle Bells
6. Silver Bells
7. Santa Claus is coming to town
8. O Holy Night

Christmas Movies
1. Christmas Carol
2. Christmas with the Cranks
3. Elf
4. Fred Claus
5. Home Alone + other
6. How the Grinch stole Christmas
7. Polar Express
8. Santa Clause + others
9. while you were sleeping

Planning anything on Holidays

For October 29, 2011, I had planned a Halloween Themed Party for a friend of mine in a close knit situation.

This birthday consists of a themed present
1. Party Cup in the theme of Halloween
2. Black Flower Candles
3. a Halloween Bag
4. Salt Scrub
5. Soap
6. Lotion
7. Chocolate Truffle Cake

To avoid her carrying it all day, we gave it to her the day before so she can bring it home and enjoy it.

We met up at the first location
1. Madame Tussauds Haunted House 2011 - Zombie Themed
Soon after we went over to the Club for some partying
2. Webster Hall Circus

If you look up calendars for Halloween in your area, you should be able to find a ton of stuff. It applies for all other holidays as well. That was how I found my two locations, GOOGLE!

A quick FYI though
1. Ask the person you are planning the party for if they like anything after you decide on a few more so she has a decision for her birthday when no one is willing to spend all that money on tickets
2. This is a holiday where people go out, BE READY FOR LINES AT ALL LOCATIONS
3. If you want to plan a party, from October 2011 until next October 2012, it will be free consultation and if you want tips so inquire for a party planned for you for FREE where all you do is pick up materials, order them online and have them delivered, or if you live in New York City, it will be dropped off by me!

Kelly's Bridal Shower and Bachelorette Party

Kelly was marrying an Asian guy. We did her Bridal Shower and Bachelorette Party for her and how she liked it.

Bridal Shower
For her Bridal Shower, we had a luncheon at a restaurant where we decorated it in her wedding colors of puple and red. We also made it so that we could incorporate some Asian into it. The lunch was provided by the restaurant per person. We had four tables about 25 guests? We had a wishing well which is for guests to bring miscallenous items like a grinder, candles, utensils, etc. We then had a guess the kisses for a chance to win hershey kisses. We also had guests write an advice for the couple to put into an advice book. We had favors for those who won games such as Bridal Bingo, Couples Quiz, Guess the Kisses, etc. The couples quiz had various questions to see how much the guests knew about the couple and turned it into the game. Bridal Bingo is played by using a normal bingo layout and putting in the gifts that they think the bride will get. For wedding favors, we gave each guest chopsticks, bamboo, tea candles, fortune cookies, and coffee beans in a cup.

Now as for her Bachelorette Party, we planned a dinner, spa treatment and crazy night in the hotel room. The bride did not want to have a crazy bachelorette party like with strippers or anything so we made it simple for her. We got into the resort that had a spa hall to go to with a Bridal Party Package. After this, we went to the room to drop off all our stuff and prepared to go out to dinner after our swim at the pool. We had dinner at a restaurant in the resort along with a few drinks at the bar there.

When we got back to the hotel room, we made signature drinks for the bride that were made by Donna - Death by Chocolate and Cranberry Vodka Martini. We toasted to this along with eating snacks. We had wine cups and Martini Glasses to decorate as an activity together (that were also used as party favors). When we finished decorating them, there were party favors that consisted of the glasses, a spa kit along with a nail kit (pedicure/manicure kit), loofa, lipgloss, salt scrub, lotion, soap bar, pretzels, and water. This was a kit made by going to the wholesale stores to purchase a few things in bulk for a great party favor that related to the event that all the girls went through. In the morning, we had coffee brought into the hotel in nice cups, scones to eat for breakfast and much more.

Valentine's Day

So I realized that Valentine's Day is an important day in my life as it is a great time to try to say I love you to all my friends and family. Since my brother got married and I have a new in-law family associated with my family, I thought it would be appropriate to gift my new sister in law, her family, my best friends, and my important family members. I will only mention their first names as I do not want to jeopardize them in any way.

The first thing I did while planning this was that I made sure I set out a budget. I had about 13 people I wanted to give a present to. I estimated the amount I would need for each one at about $20/person so about $260 as my budget. Then I planned out what I wanted to get each person

Anthony - he's my godbrother so I wanted to get him new stud earrings since he has his ears pierced and a Jack Skellington Wrap

Zuchra - my best friend from HS loves coffee and tea so I wanted to make her a coffee/tea set. I wanted to purchase one premade but it costs alot of money for less and the stuff inside are things she would not necessary like since she only prefers black tea or African coffee

Kelly - my new sister in law is similar to Zuchra with coffee and tea and I wanted to make 2 different sets

Jennifer - my other best friend from HS - I wanted to give her a cute necklace and a scented item for her because I thought it would be cutes

Ceyda - we have tried to schedule Vietnamese coffee multiple times and seem to fail so I thought why not bring it to her, so I am making her a Vietnamese coffee set - some things are easy to purchase at a Chinese Grocery Store - Cafe Du Monde, Vietnamese Filter and Condensed milk

Geeta - I wanted to make her chocolate and give ice wine to pair it but ice wine is expensive and making chocolate takes a while so I decided to get her some Victoria Secret stuff when I purchase a cute bag there during Black Friday shopping

Lys - a friend from college whom I am close to. I wanted to get her something nice. There are tons of stores in Chinatown that you can talk to so you can get a price of jewelry for a cheaper price. So that's what I did. I made a $40 piece of jewelry to about $10?

Suzy - my friend wanted ice wine so I decided to get her some

Karissa - my sister in law's maid of honor that I felt I bonded the most with. I felt it would be fun to bond a bit more after the wedding. I wanted to make her a Vietnamese Coffee set as well since she loves it

Jez - I got him a cheap but good bottle of wine - wine is actually pretty cheap and in some places if you know the right people, you can talk down the price too

Jimmy - he is my son from my fraternity and I felt it would be appropriate to get him a present so I wanted to get him some candy and cookies as if he were really my son

Eileen - this is my brother's new mother in law - I wanted to get her some nice wine as a Welcome to the Family

Pedro - this is my father from my fraternity and I wanted to get him ice wine as well

Jannine - this is my mother from my fraternity - I got her a bag for a discount during Black Friday Shopping

Justine - this is my daughter from my fraternity - I also got her a bag during Black Friday

There are actually tons of deals during Black Friday or in Chinatown where you can talk a discount with them. If you want help purchasing presents for Valentine's Day, Birthdays, Christmas, etc feel free to email loveoflifeplansmadeeasy@gmail.com and send a list of your friends (first name only) and a quick list of things you want to get them or if you do not know what to get, feel free to send a list of things they like or wanted and I can refer you to stores around New York City to shop at.
